Leng Power

Leng is a Class V Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum Great Valley Chapter. She works closely with a network of boundary crossing servant leaders within the Central Valley to examine longstanding entrenched issues and work to resolve them with creative and innovation idea.

Leng was appointed to a seat on the Salida Municipal Advisory Council in 2017 and was recently elected as the Chair. Leng has delivered community talks on heart centered leadership, interfaith dialogues and has led group mindfulness sessions workshops on wellbeing and resiliency. Inspired to address the deep division in our communities, Leng trained to be a facilitator/moderator for the Braver Angels network and is a current fellow of Citizen University whose focus is to strengthen community bonds and deepen citizen engagement.

Leng is inspired by her parents who raised a family of six in a new country with limited means and social capital. It is through her parent’s example and bravery that Leng possesses an unyielding faith in collective action for the common good. She believes that any effort to examine and dismantle the structures that lead to poverty will have a direct benefit on women and children who disproportionally live below the poverty line. Her work with marginalized communities seeking to secure a voice has led to individual empowerment and sustained transformation.
